New leadership needed badly at the North Carolina Department of Insurance

Not just the Commissioner but Deputy Commissioners as well. Why you ask?   Our laws and insurance systems as a whole are in the stone age. Look at the “CAPTIVE MARKET” insurance rates need to be at market level not fixed by a totally antiquated system such as the “Rate Bureau”. Just who and whom is this system protecting? Mostly the insurance companies themselves. Not the consumers. This also allows corruption at all levels of the insurance system.

Look at our Commissioner of Insurance Wayne Goodwin…he is never in his office. So if he is not in his office. Who is running the insane asylum at our North Carolina Department of Insurance?  The Deputy Commissioners that’s who. OK. There are no legal contracts of non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements between the Deputy Commissioners or Managers and the state of North Carolina that I can find out. I have contacted the Public Affairs Office at the North Carolina Department Of Insurance and have not yet been answered.

Why is this important? Because if these highly seated state people are allowed to share information of any type to the insurance companies about any citizen of North Carolina, would you not think that that would be a conflict of interest for a regulatory body like the North Carolina Department of Insurance?  How about these Deputy Commissioners taking that information and going to work for the insurance companies with a high salary and retirement packages. IT’S Called being paid off by the insurance companies. Look at Dr. Leeson who was the Deputy Commissioner of insurance who went to work for AETNA Insurance company after leaving his post with the state. Does anyone else smell corruption here?

It does not matter one bit if the insurance rates are low if the insurance companies wrongfully deny any claim that is brought before them. This is called insurance “FRAUD” by any other name that anyone can come up with.
