Now if you want to speak about loan companies that have put in so many hoops to go thru on getting your home repaired if you have an insurance claim with whichever insurance company that you have you will find that you are battling a bunch of MORONS.
These people want to take an Actual Cash Value CHECK, which is your first check from your insurance companies, of which will only cover say 40% of the the work that needs to be done in the first place.
This company NATIONSTAR wants the contractor to give them full lien waver rights away to this mortgage company before work is even began. Now how stupid do you think contractors like me are. What this actually does is force the homeowner to come out of pocket to pay for the repairs that are so badly needed.
If the roof is leaking people you need to get it repaired or replaced as soon as possible. This company just like CHASE wants you to send them the endorsed check to the company then they will disperse the check after the work is done as 1/3, 1/3 , 1/3.
Now the insurance company will only issue the Recoverable Depreciation Check only after all of the work is performed. So you have to go thru this process with these morons twice. So basically between the insurance company and the mortgage company no work can be done unless the contractor and or the homeowner comes out of pocket to get all of the work done and then hope like hell that they get there monies back.
Talk about the industry screwing the homeowners and contractors. If you have a loan with these MORONS you might want to refinance to a better company.
